Just enjoying the sunshine
Just enjoying the sunshine

Introduction

SSC is a members club, owned and operated by its members for its members. If we are not sailing please always look out for our fun filled family friendly social calendar.

We welcome members bringing family and friends to the club to both watch sailing and to enjoy our lovely foreshore. The clubhouse is open during sailing days and many other times - many of which are included in our main programme or on this website.

We open the galley and bar on most sailing days, when drinks and snacks can be purchased by members and friends either side of sailing. Friday nights are usually a time for run and relaxation as the clubroom and bar are open for the use of TV, games or just enjoying the company and the view. .

Family friendly events like the Pirate Day, games evening, BBQ nights, seasonal shore walks, quiz nights and salsa till you drop events have been big hits over the last few years. Looking externally we have arranged visits to he National Maritime Museum, France, the annual Dinghy show to supplement our annual Christmas Dinner in one of the many fantastic local pubs over the past couple of years.

Most importantly we want every member to be able to sail safely (as much as they want to) and for them and their family and friends to enjoy themselves by being part of he happy memories at the club.
